What it is
The child support supplement (complemento de ayuda para la infancia) of the Ingreso Mínimo Vital is for households that include minors. It is granted if, in the year before the application, countable income is below 300 % of the amount guaranteed by the Ingreso Mínimo Vital and net assets are below 150 % of the IMV limits, while also meeting the limit on non-business assets. It is paid monthly for each minor, according to their age on 1 January: 115 euros if under three, 80.50 euros between three and six and 57.50 euros between six and 18. It is incompatible with the child benefit (asignación por hijo o menor a cargo) for children without a disability or with a disability below 33 %. You apply through the Servicio Ingreso Mínimo Vital on the online portal.

Steps
Step 1: Prove your household
The household is proved with the family book, a civil registry certificate and the padrón data; if they do not match the application, you will be asked for the historical collective registration certificate.

Step 2: Apply on the e-office
You apply through the Servicio Ingreso Mínimo Vital on the Social Security e-office (the same for the IMV and the supplement). Phone information: 020.

Step 3: Report changes within 30 days
As an IMV beneficiary you must report within 30 calendar days any change that could modify, suspend or end the benefit, and any change of address or padrón of any member.
